Ms. Dykstra possesses deep insights into emerging market trends, risk oversight, financial strategy and technology-driven corporate transformation initiatives from over three decades of serving in financial leadership roles with global services and technology companies. As VMware’s (Previous NYSE: VMW) Chief Financial Officer (2023), she played a key role in guiding the cloud computing solutions provider through its pre-acquisition transition period, culminating in the successful completion of its $61 billion sale to Broadcom, Inc. During her tenure as Chief Financial Officer (2012-2015) and Chief Administrative Officer (2013-2015) at AOL, Ms. Dykstra led strategic acquisition initiatives that helped transform the company into a diversified digital media company, and played a key role in positioning AOL for its $4.4 billion acquisition by Verizon and enabling the company’s expansion into online media and advertising. Prior to her roles at AOL, Ms. Dykstra spent 25 years at Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADP) in financial leadership positions, eventually serving as the company’s Chief Financial Officer (2003-2006) before joining Plainfield Asset Management LLC in 2006.
Ms. Dykstra previously served on Gartner’s Board from 2007 to June 2023, and rejoined in December 2023.
Ms. Dykstra currently also holds board positions at Atlassian Corporation (NASDAQ: TEAM) (since 2025) and Arm Holding PLC (NASDAQ: ARM) (since 2022) and has previously served on the boards of VMware (2006-2023), Boston Properties (NYSE: BXP) (2016-2021), and AOL (Previous NYSE: AOL) (2009-2012).
